The Community Heroes challenge allowed us to reflect on our bar's impact on our society. After speaking with the team, we saw that the bar is a meeting space, a safe place, a refuge, a creative space that makes those who visit us more creative, a space where changes are generated in people and, therefore, in the world.

We must be very grateful to Ketel One and World Class for "forcing" us to stop and think about it because it makes us see that we should be very proud of the path we have travelled. We have been collaborating for years with artisans, farmers, new emerging artists, towns at risk of depopulation, conservation of history and local products... actions that have helped us grow, learning from all the people and communities we have helped.

The pride we feel in the work done has invited us to dream, and we must know that dreams can and should be fulfilled.

The dream would be to achieve that with the help of Ketel One and World Class, our DNA would be spread and replicated throughout the world. Can you imagine that thousands of bars in the world would join a free initiative adapted to each of their communities and circumstances? Can you imagine creating a stream of small social changes driven by bars? Can you imagine if the world understood that the bar space is a social and cultural engine of society?

There is no society without a bar, and that is why we propose the "BARS FOR CHANGE" initiative. Ketel One, World Class, and we are the spark that ignites change in thousands of bars around the world.

The first step is to set an example, therefore, from Moonlight (e)xperimental Bar, we develop a new project with immediate impact on our society. We collaborate with Gardener's, the EcoSocial project of the ATADES Foundation, a foundation that is responsible for supporting and protecting people with intellectual disabilities and integrating them into society and the workplace. Gardenier's is dedicated to growing, treating and transforming organic crops into products ready for sale. We choose their cherry jam, which we buy from them, generating income for the foundation, transforming it into an ingredient in our social cocktail, selling it at our premises later, and allocating the profit to the ATADES Foundation.

With this example of action, we propose that bars tell us their ideas to change the world. From conversations at a bar table to change in your society, you only have to take the first step. To do this, we provide you with an email (ideas@barsforchange.com) where we will attend to and evaluate your proposals, to advise and support you. To make them come true.

Bars For Change will be a community dedicated to supporting and carrying out social improvements around the world. It is supported by Ketel One and World Class, thus positioning itself as a brand committed to social works around the world.

It all started in the bar, and so YOUR BAR CHANGED THE WORLD.
To make our cocktail, we first buy the jam made by people with special needs at Gardenier's, and we transform it into a cherry cordial. We mix it with water, vodka, citric acid, ascorbic acid and fine sherry wine.

We mix Ketel One, with the cherry cordial and Cold Brew Coffee, shake and serve in a cold glass. We finish the cocktail with a layer of cream foam.

The flavour of this cocktail is designed to be enjoyed by a wide range of clientele since the idea is based on the fact that the more people enjoy it, the more contribution we can make to the ATADES Foundation, in addition to one of the contributions to this type of foundations is talking about them and making them known.

If we want to carry out a scalable project, we must understand that each community is different; that is why the idea that our initiative adapts to each place is the best possible option if we want to carry out a project capable of changing the world, that is why we do not propose a fixed cocktail If not, the locals who want to be part of the initiative join in by holding a talk with their community at the venue and a social cocktail of their own creation with Ketel One at their bar, adapted to the change they want to produce in their area, and We can support you in communication.

Cocktail

40ml Ketel One Vodka
30ml Cherry Cordial
30ml Cold Brew Coffee (Ethiopian Origin)
Cream foam top

To make our cocktail, we first buy the jam made by people with special needs at Gardenier's, and we transform it into a cherry cordial.

Cherry Cordial:
250g cherry jam
250ml of water
350ml sugar syrup (2:1)
15ml Fino Sherry
15ml Ketel One
Strained with a fine grid... then we added the acids:
5g ascorbic acid
3g citric acid
