Ketel One Botanicals are made by infusing Ketel One vodka with natural botanicals and then re-distilling the infusion in a copper pot still. The distillate is then infused with the natural fruit and botanical essences relevant to each varietal.

A particular variety (Prunus persica) of fruity white peach is used due to its floral notes with extraction by hydro-distillation.

The species of orange blossom (Citrus aurantium amara) used imparts round and bold orange blossom notes. A solvent is obtained by extraction with ethanol and a base made from aromatics from orange blossom via the solvent.

Contains no sugar, artificial sweeteners or flavours.

Serve long over ice with soda water in a wine glass and garnish with wedge of grapefruit.

Ketel One say their Peach & Orange Blossom, "is for those who enjoy lush, juicy white peaches and bold notes of fragrant orange blossoms."

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 08/03/2019

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Pungent vibrant ripe peach and floral orange blossom.

Taste:

Fresh peach flavour but without fruit sweetness (this spirit is bone dry). Superbly clean with white and black pepper spirituous spice and dry orange oils.

Aftertaste:

More floral on the long dry finish.

Overall:

An intense clean peach flavour coupled with zero sugar and a 30% alc./vol. make this spirit relatively low in calories (apparently "40% less than a glass of wine", giving the Ketel One Botanical's signature serve (long over ice with soda) undeniable mass-market appeal.
