What is your favourite drink?
The hardest question of the lot, isn't it? I'm a sucker for a Penicillin or a Rye Manhattan, but there will never be a bad time for a classic Americano. Campari, Sweet Vermouth and ice-cold Franklin & Sons 1886 Soda Water – what's not to love?
Which disco drink needs a comeback?
The Woo Woo just gets way too much shade in my opinion. Done well, it is a great balance of sweet, sour and overall flavour but I think that with some modern techniques, it could easily be reinvigorated without losing the charm. 'Woo Woo; Take Two', anyone?
What's your favourite part about working in the drinks industry, and what keeps you motivated?
I have always loved the energy of the drinks industry, as well as the camaraderie and ability to learn that comes with it, both from looking to the past and the future. Every day is different and brings with it a new opportunity to educate yourself, travel to new places and meet new people – it really is one of the most energetic and engaging careers out there and I wouldn't change it for the world. My biggest motivation is to challenge status quos and encourage open forums where ideas can be shared amongst peers and new generations of industry professionals – every idea that progresses our industry further is valid.
