A mere fifty people can squeeze in to this intimate, fun and atmospheric little space in the underbelly of Central & Co. The brainchild of bartenders Andy Mil, Elliot Ball and Olly Brading you'll find at least two of this trio of top flight bartenders behind the stick. Their cocktails are not just good, they are fun. As is their little den.

There's something of a speakeasy feel to this basement bar, partly due to its being accessed from a stairwell within the all-day brasserie on the ground floor. However, the Cocktail Trading Company is a lot more fun than your average speakeasy with an upright piano and communal tables seating drinkers cheek-by-jowl. The look is an eclectic mix of classic Victoria gin palace and industrial London.

The cocktails are well conceived and tasty, but not taken too seriously with names and garnishes that are sure to amuse - tin cans containing party poppers and Christmas cracker jokes, a drink resembling a Chinese noodle takeaway with chop sticks and all, and garnishes set on fire. Theatrics and creativity is ever present - even tabs are delivered with a key - who knows what to.

Come in early to nab a table or a seat at the bar. Arrive much after office chucking out time and you should be prepared to stand amongst the throng.
