This is a lovely cocktail. However, I felt the elderflower was more pronounced and the cocktail sweeter than I preferred, so I knocked back the elderflower to 0.5 oz. I also slightly increased both the pear vodka and dry vermouth to 0.75 oz. each. The gin was kept at 1 oz. These proportions allow all flavors to shine, while making the cocktail a bit drier. Here in the U.S. I use Gordon's London dry gin, Absolut pear vodka, M&R extra-dry vermouth and St-Germain elderflower liqueur.
