I boosted the 'Stone' element by using Orgeat syrup. It certainly did the trick - whether or not it was an improvement I can't really say, as my taste buds are not fully back in action after a cold. But I'll try it again, for sure!
My Mrs is a “sour” sceptic, but the addition of her new favourite ingredient, Apricot brandy, transformed this for her. A great riff on a New York sour (one of my faves)
Fruity! A lovely blend of apricot and orange flavours matched against the sharpness of the lemon thanks to the sugar syrup. Adding an extra 15ml of Bourbon takes it from hiding to making its presence felt.
