Bought Byrrh out of curiosity and my interest in old prohibition cocktails. Plus, when I found out the us version didn’t contain quinine it gave me another reason to by it (II bought it before learning that).

I just purchased a fresh bottle which, outrageously, does not contain a cat on the label!! Being replaced with an onyx-coloured capital D. Shame Dubonnet, shame!

Would cocci Rosa Americano be a good sub for the Dubbonet? Also contains quinine and spiced with ginger (among other spices)

Cocchi Americano Rosa is different but in the same ballpark. Cocchi is also a very tasty product.

Sensational. Dubonnet is a wonderfully warming aperitif. Mixed with dry ginger a refreshing mixed drink. With vodka shaken served in a coupe a sensational cocktail.
