Today is also Oxi day, a prideful day for Greece fighting back against Mussolini in world war 2 and becoming victorious. The Greek prime minister, ioannis metaxas responded “oxi” (no) to Mussolini ultimatum to join them. I’ll be making a drink with Metaxa - a Greek brandy - today, celebrating Greek courage and resilience.

Today is also the anniversary of the release of the Sex Pistols' Never Mind the Bollocks. I am therefore making a Loaded Pistol, and yes, I made grasshopper salt for the rim. Mmmm salty! And meaty!
