Serviceable; it tastes like an incomplete Navy Grog. Not bad thought.

I don't know what it was, maybe the Grapefruit, but for me this was noteably too sweet and lacking acidity. Adding some lime juice helped.

I liked this drink. Being concerned over the ratings, I was thinking it lacked some flavour. I substituted a barspoon of Pimento Dram for the Angostura Bitters. Got a little more flavour. Used an overproof Navy Rum.

I've just made with Hampden Estate overproof 60% alc./vol. Jamaican pot still and local Northiam honey and very tasty. I've reduced the rum a tad for cost and sobriety. I've also switched to honey syrup to make measuring easier.
