Grand Marnier works well, I think, in place of orange curaçao as suggested.

Had this as an evening cocktail on Winter Solstice. What a wonderful, festive, holiday cocktail. Did follow the comments and used Grand Marnier. Everything works perfectly together here. Will definitely be having this again over the winter season.

It's Xmas day, so I substituted the curaçao with Grand Marnier. Great drink - recommended.

Not Christmas, but I did the same thing. Very tasty.
