A happy medium must be had between this and the 'Southern Manhattan'... I used Cinzano Rosso for both just now... But I'm wondering if a Carpano Antica is ideal. Wish I had some, dang... Between the two, I do prefer this Devil's ratio. It's growing on me. (21 May 2023, 1:52p)

A nice idea, but as ever, the horror of Southern Comfort actually holds it back.
I liked SC in 1989 when I was 19 - the cool film with Powers Booth and the less objectionable Caradine - but trying it now I learn it was horrible.
And it ruins any cocktail it touches.
