Skipped the sugar syrup but used crystallised ginger as garnish. A tasty addition to #cocktailsaturday

Skip the sugar syrup (as is so often the case, it’s utterly unnecessary).
Tastes best when cool rather than super cold directly from the shaker - the ginger wakes up and comes to the fore as it warms slightly (think fridge cool).

Far too sweet for me, the sugar overpowers the ginger. Next time I'll cut the syrup and see how it stands up.

Really very delicious. Thanks for the incredible site which has been a massive boon these last nine months. The book is great and was a wonderful birthday present to receive (after some very heavy hinting). Thanks and more power to your elbow.
