Skip the sugar syrup (as is so often the case, it’s utterly unnecessary).
Tastes best when cool rather than super cold directly from the shaker - the ginger wakes up and comes to the fore as it warms slightly (think fridge cool).
Far too sweet for me, the sugar overpowers the ginger. Next time I'll cut the syrup and see how it stands up.
