Tried this a few times in the hope I grow to like it more each time. Equal parts Suze, dolin dry vermouth and ojo de dios mezcal, all the lovely earthy and smokey vanilla you'd expect but with an amazing charred grapefruit note via the dolin. Exceptional stuff!

Was expecting the Suze to be much more present, maybe having used a bottle that is several months old had something to do with it. Also used a grapefruit peel as garnish as I believe a bit of tart would balance the drink and I think it was an improvement

I love Suze & mezcal but I was a little bit disappointed how it seemed like they "cancel" each others in this drink.

Just tried Youth & Treachery, same proportions but with blanco tequila and lemon zest. Will also be a regular go to.

I also was very surprised by how balanced this drink is considering the amount of Suze.

Much more balanced than I was expecting, while the lingering gentian bitterness extinguishes any fire from the mezcal. Interesting stuff.

The smoky mezcal balances the bitter gentian (Suze) well (much better than a White Negroni).
