I found the strawberries barely noticeable, the Campari is still super dominant. I might try again with more strawberries and/or less Campari.

This was unbalanced and lack sweetness. I used 190g of ice. I'd try this again with an additional sweetener and less ice.
It's a true classic I'm always coming back to.
Such an excellent drink.
I really wanted this one to work as I'm a fan of coconut water cocktails, but unfortunately, I really can't say I liked it. It's missing sweetness and complexity that even the Angostura bitters couldn't compensate for. I added ~5ml of 2:1 simple syrup and it made OK'ish..
That picture looks absolutely nothing like the drink!
That's weird. I got the same color as the picture.
I like it better than The Last Word, but agree with many of the comments below - the whisky is hard to notice.
Don't have a sweet tooth, yet I found this lacking some sweetness. Made this the second time with 7.5ml of 2:1 Simple Syrup and it was better, however, missing some "sweetness complexity", so might try another sweetener next time.
A new favorite nightcap.
Personally found it not so balanced. Too sweet.
I might test it again, only this time with a bar spoon of Luxardo Maraschino.
Way too sweet for me. I'll cut the simple syrup in half, try again, and report back.
I really like this build/recipe.
Much more balanced than the half-half Cognac & Gin split, and the 0.5 OZ split between sweet and dry vermouth.
Recommended!
I also was very surprised by how balanced this drink is considering the amount of Suze.
Great drink!
The amount of lemon doesn't add up? (60ml)
A mistake perhaps? I couldn't find any other recipe with similar amounts of lemon.
Simple, doesn't require much, and delicious.
I used the Rum I had which was - Plantation 3 Stars rum (not vanilla infused)
Excellent! Much more balanced than the Last Word in my taste...
