Not bad, quite unique and mellow. It was a perfect opportunity to use my Hungarian cherry brandy (pálinka). I think using Cointreau in place of the Grand Marnier would improve this drink as it needs a touch more sugar and some extra zing.
Excellent. Dry with the sharp taste of the Kirsh adding excitement to the final cocktail. Was afraid it would be sweeter, but it is great. The cognac provides a flavourful base to the cocktail. Will have again. Perfect for a warm day aperitif.
A rather dry and slightly cherry (maraschino style rather than cherry heering style) slanted sidecar, but...it didn't really add much over a regular sidecar or a Champs-Elysee.
