A bit too dry to my liking but otherwise a very interesting drink with a complex flavour profile, I get a lot of woody-cherry notes from it.
Tanqueray and Luxardo Espresso. I love this. Who knew? (16 Jan 2024, 4:51p)
Just made it with the exact same ingredients and it was perfect. Cheers!
Wow, I didn't expect much but this is really good, I used Tanqueray and Luxardo Espresso just like a fellow drinker before and it's a perfect pairing.
We get fresh piney, botanical notes from the gin and deep, rich, dark, roasted aroma from the coffee liqueur while the lemon twist gives brightness and an extra layer to the whole composition.
Very easy to drink, highly recommended!
Rich and fruity, one of the best riffs on the Cosmo.
It's kinda hard to explain but it tastes like a tropical bonbon with herbal filling. Probably one of the most unique tiki-esque cocktails that I've ever tried.
Surprisingly dry and quite refreshing. The colour I got was a bit underwhelming dirty yellowish green, I might add a few drops of Blue Curacao next time for the looks and some extra sweetness.
What a creative way to use Creole bitters, it compliments the flavour and the colour of this drink really well. Just perfect.
I didn't expect much but this was surprisingly good.
The orange bitters do a lot of heavy lifting here.
This is really good. I think increasing the rum to 60 ml would make it even better as the Havana Club 7 is too much in the background, at least for my personal taste.
Just excellent
It is very much on the sour side, very refreshing.
I recommend using a slice of fresh banana for garnish, it projects a nice aroma and improves the whole experience.
This is very good, the ingredients work really well together.
I might try the naughtiest version next time with some berry liqueur, cassis could be an excellent addition.
Excellent. It somehow reminds me of a Mon Chéri bonbon.
I used Havana Club 3 years old, I think it's the most fitting rum for this drink.
This is a really special drink, so smooth and yet so flavourful.
Dangerously delicious, very smooth, it reminds me of honey nectar. Deserves a higher rating in my opinion. The actual colour is more pinkish red (I used Giffard Grenadine).
It's an interesting drink, not only pink in name but also tastes 'pink'. Grenadine-forward with a hint of spice, sweeter than a classic daiquiri but overall well balanced.
A nice strawberry liqueur is a great addition to this drink.
It's nice and tart upfront, earthy and honey-like after. I had no margarita bitters so I used a dash of angostura instead. Great drink.
In my experience gin and orange juice rarely pairs well and this is no exception. It's an okay drink but I wouldn't make it again.
I added some extra flavour by muddling 3 raspberries in a shaker and instead of straining I did an open pour. It came out as a lovely, messy beauty :)
Adding a touch of lemon juice makes this drink so much better.
It's actually crazy good.
I used an unfiltered 'bedded' (aged in a 'bed' of fruits) pálinka in place of the kirsch which has a slight sweetness to it, so mine came out sweeter than what most people will get. Still a very enjoyable, flavourful drink. Would make again.
