Ingredients:
1 23 oz Caribbean blended rum aged 6-10 years
34 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
12 oz Maple syrup
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lime wedge..
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with lime wedge on rim.

History:

Adapted from a recipe discovered at London's brilliant Satan's Whiskers, where this cocktail is based on Havana Club 7 Year Old Cuban Rum, hence the name.

This is really good. I think increasing the rum to 60 ml would make it even better as the Havana Club 7 is too much in the background, at least for my personal taste.

This is surprisingly phenomenal with Bacardi Ocho. The pairing of that and maple syrup seems to be a complimentary game-changer. I've tried the Ocho with cane syrup and I wasn't a fan. Hmm...
