Located in the village of Coxhoe in North-East England, purpose-built brewery is named after Sonnet 43 ‘How do I Love Thee?’, the best-known verse by poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning, who was born and raised at nearby Coxhoe Hall.

Adjoining the Kicking Cuddy pub, Coxhoe, Sonnet 43 produced its first nine-gallon firkins in October 2012.
