I made this recipe expecting it to be horrible. I used Tanqueray for the gin and Rose's grenadine. I did a dry shake instead of a reverse dry shake, but I don't think it matters all that much.

The drink was a neon pink and tastes like undersweetened bubblegum. Not atrocious, but not my thing by any stretch.
That sentiment goes for a lot of vodka. The point of vodka is that it doesn't really have much flavor going on, with the drink being a neutral spirit.
