I made this as-written first time and it’s a solid cocktail. Nothing special but solid. Next time I used my own homemade orange liqueur and a bit of Italicus in place of the simple. Very good.

I made it with Campari first and then did Aperol. I’m not a big fan of bitter, so I preferred the Aperol version. But my friends who enjoy Campari loved the original.
