Really pleased to see this included here - a fantastic drink. I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of Fernet Branca but this combination is the best kind of alchemy. Personally I’d put a little less sugar but that’s just my palate.

I'm a big fan of Fernet Branca and I have been looking for other ways to drink it (other than as a ferrari as a digestif with equal parts campari). This is perfect and close to my other favourite the Last Word. Agreed that maybe the sugar could be dialled down. Tempted to sub Maraschino in to see how it fares

Absolutely fabulous cocktail, with enough sweetness to overcome Fernet's roughness and allow it to shine. Fernet and Tequila seem to be a happy match that I will test on other recipes. This is for me a 5 star cocktail, with no second thoughts.

I bought some fernet branca on a whim before Christmas and it was an inspired experiment. Between this (5* for me) and The Ferrari (equal parts Fernet and Campari) my digestif needs were sated. This cocktail is delicious, but it kinda tastes like tempered Fernet - I don't get much tequila (I've used both Olmeca and Madre mescal and a combination). Am I wasting good stuff on it?

I've taken to mixing x8 the base in a litre bottle, topped with a touch of water, refrigerated and taking that with a chilled bottle of prosecco to events where I've not wanted to be chained to the cocktail shaker but want to share a treat with a few people

I've made this up for parties/barbecues/after the kids have gone to bed by putting together equal quantities of dark and pineapple rum and the other ingredients except lime in another bottle so it can essentially be constructed as a three ingredient cocktail - juice of a lime (approx.), 60ml Mixed Rum, 40ml 'Bells and Whistles'. Shook. Suddenly not so complicated to put together at the drop of a hat.
