This drink shows just how brilliant Sasha was. It uses only a few ingredients, but they’re put together so precisely that everything works perfectly. The hint of smoke, the orange citrus bitterness, the sweetness of the orange liqueur, and the fresh, vegetal character of the tequila. Most great classic cocktails have one thing in common: fewer ingredients and excellent technique. RIP, Sasha.

My two cents. Forget the syrup, already too sweet because of Bourbon and cynar. If you want a really worth it upgrade, cynar 70. Thats all.
