Muff gin is based on potato spirit redistilled with botanicals including juniper, rosemary, grapefruit peel, elderflower and mandarin. Prior to bottling, a "Champagne extract is added."

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Mandarin orange and lemon zest lead with piney juniper and rosemary close behind. Faint floral elderflower. Nothing to suggest this is a potato spirit-based gin.

Taste:

Citrus is a little more subdued with piney juniper and peppery coriander spice.

Aftertaste:

Zesty orange notes return in the piney, peppery finish.

Overall:

Not obviously a potato gin, but the spirit may have a rounding effect as this gin does have a slightly creamy mouthfeel.
