Muff Whiskey is a five-part blend of Irish malt and grain whiskeys:

1. Irish grain whiskey aged in heavily charred virgin oak casks.
2. Irish grain whiskey matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels.
3. Triple pot distilled Irish malt whiskey aged in sherry-seasoned casks.
4. Double pot distilled Irish malt whiskey.
5. Peated triple-distilled Irish malt whiskey matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Smouldering wood, orange zest, vanilla fudge, pencil shavings and coconut.

Taste:

Cedarwood with stewed tea tannins and vanilla fudge with warming cinnamon spice, green apple fruit and desiccated coconut.

Aftertaste:

Coconut notes continue in the long, assertively spicy, dry woody finish.

Overall:

A good whiskey with a good balance between peat, coconut and spice.
