Launched in 2010, this alcoholic ginger beer takes its name from the Crabbie’s brand of green ginger wine which was created in the port of Leith in 1801 by wine merchant John Crabbie.

The Crabbies brand was bought in October 1993 by MacDonald & Muir Ltd, owners of the Glenmorangie malt whisky brand who were in turn acquired by Moet Hennessy in 2004. Both Crabbie’s ginger wine and Crabbies ginger beer are now produced by Halewood Vintners.

Avaliação e degustação

Experimentado em 10/03/2011

Aparência:

Golden coloured.

Sabor:

Heavily carbonated with a gentle ginger, pepper and clove spice with floral and lemony notes. Mellow rather than hotly spiced ginger, perhaps a little too mellow.

Aftertaste:

A good deal sweeter than other premium ginger beers but with more flavours fighting for your taste buds attention than just pure ginger.
