The result of a collaboration between Chapel Down’s Winemaker, Frazer Thompson and brewer Andy Hepworth, this IPA is brewed using barley and wheat malts with three complimentary hops: Goldings, Brambling Cross and Citra.

Sampled on 25/10/2015

Appearance:

(sample BBE Nov-16) Clear, deep coppery amber with thin but retentive head and good lacing.

Aroma:

Bready, toffee and caramel malt, galia melon and grapefruit zest, with aromatic hop overtones.

Taste:

Toasty, almost burnt bready malt with citrusy and pine hop bitterness.

Aftertaste:

Mildly bitter, dry toasty finish with lingering piney hops and zesty grapefruit.

Overall:

Toasty almost burnt bready maltiness with robust piney hop bitterness.
