This English golden ale is named after Alfred Wainwright, a British fellwalker who in the 1950 wrote and illustrated a series of guides to the Lakeland Fells. It is brewed with Maris Otter pale malt with Hersbrucker and Magnum hops, and dry hoped Styrian Goldings.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber with one finger thick white head and spotted lacing.

Aroma:

Pine and grapefruit zest.

Taste:

Earthy, mildly bitter orange and grapefruit zest with caramel, honey and slight grassiness.

Aftertaste:

Lightly bitter with woody hops and pink grapefruit zest.
