Launched 19th September 2014, (originally named Inaugural Release), Cotswolds Non-Chill Filtered is distilled with a wheat neutral spirit base and nine botanicals: juniper, coriander, angelica root, Cotswolds lavender and bay leaf, grapefruit, lime, black pepper and cardamom seeds.

The juniper, coriander and angelica root are steeped in the spirit for 12 hours. The other botanicals are then added – some steeped while others only come into contact with the spirits vapour.

Aparência:

(batch 05/2016, 1 of 7500 bottles) Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Celery and hop-like scents, lemongrass, pine, lavender and eucalyptus.

Sabor:

Classic London dry gin in style with brawny enlivening cardamon spice. Juniper is very evident but juniper notes are camphor and eucalyptus rather than chewing on a Christmas tree. Subtle floral lavender, celery and lemongrass.

Aftertaste:

Juniper is more piney in the long spicy, lightly zesty citrus finish.

No geral:

Classic London dry in style with enlivening cardamon spice and faint floral notes. This gin's high alc./vol. and muscular cardamon give it a little extra punch and freshness in a G&T. The cardamon in this 5th batch appears stronger than the inaugural batch we previously sampled and is noticeable to the extent that some will find it refreshing while others may find it overly pervasive.
