Metaxa 5 Stars is a blend of three ingredients: 1) A double pot still distilled brandy made from wine produced from Savatiano, Soultanina and Koritnthiakos grape varieties and aged a minimum of five years in Limousin oak casks. 2) Aged aromatic Muscat wines from the Aegean Islands of Samos and...

Lemnos, and 3) an infusion of Mediterranean herbs and May rose petals. The final blend is married in oak barrels for one year before being chilled filtered and bottled.

Aparência:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Rose blossom, orange water, violet blossom and honey with apricot, stewed plums, black pepper and toasty oak.

Sabor:

Light honey sweetness, orange marmalade and violets with ripe plums, red grapefruit and light peppery spice.

Aftertaste:

Peachy fruit emerges with lingering honeyed sweetness, almond and light peppery spice.

No geral:

A very aromatic and approachable, easy drinking, brandy-like spirit. Those expecting a dry brandy should be aware of this spirit's smoothing honeyed sweetness and faint rose blossom notes.
