juniper, angelica, cassia bark, orris root, liquorice, cinnamon, bitter orange zest, sweet orange zest, lemon zest, coriander and nutmeg.

Unusually Silver Birch sap is added after distillation so making this gin very distinctive. The Silver Birch sap is tapped once a year in early spring and is sourced within the 40 acres of woodlands surrounding the distillery.

Avaliação e degustação

Experimentado em 02/03/2017

Crystal clear.

Cracked black pepper, pine, coriander and lemongrass. Faint note of nut and hairspray.

Juniper leads the piney palate with obvious silver birch influences. It’s an attractive palate with subtle nut, earthiness, citrus and faint sweet red berry notes.

Cleansing pepper, pine and silver birch finish.

No geral:

We found the nose off-putting but then were surprised by just how much we liked the taste of this silver birch influenced gin. Although bottled at a mere 37.5% alc./vol. Blackdown is also we’ll-priced compared to some other “craft” gins.
