The ruins of Odiham Castle, also called King John’s Castle, built in 1207-1214 for King John, lie less than a mile from the original Andwell Brewery. The eponymous beer is brewed using pale ale and crystal malt and a combination of hops.

Aparência:

(sample bottle best before 11/Sep/19) Clear, deep chestnut brown with moderate tan head and heavy lacing.

Aroma:

Slightly burnt crusty brown bread, mocha coffee, blackened fruitcake and caramel with floral and floral hops.

Sabor:

Medium to full-bodied. Creamy caramel and chocolatey mocha coffee with grassy hops.

Aftertaste:

Burnt caramel and grassy hops.

No geral:

A rich (slightly sweet) English ale with burnt fruitcake/brown fruit loaf, creamy caramel, chocolatey mocha coffee and grassy hops.
