Astronomer Gin is the first release by Science and Spirit, an Armenia-based company exploring innovative ideas for spirits production. They have developed a low-pressure (vacuum) distilling system and this is employed to make this gin.

Sampled on 04/10/2022
(bottle No. 142 from batch No.1) Crystal clear.
Beguiling fresh zesty citrus and floral aromas with juicy berry and light piney juniper.
Dry and very well-balanced with juniper prominent but not dominant. Zesty citrus is enhanced by well-judged complex freshening spice
Long and pleasing with lingering nutty juniper and enlivening spice.
This gin's alcoholic strength and botanical brightness remind me of Monkey 47, although the folk behind this Armenian gin achieve this with just 13 botanicals. Astronomer Gin's dumpy screen-printed colourful black bottle also helps it stand out from the crowd.
