Gabriel Boudier's Chipotle Liqueur is designed to impart the smoky heat of chipotle pepper with complex spices.

Appearance:

Clear, scarlet red.

Aroma:

Red fruit boiled sweets, nutmeg, and scotched chipotle pepper.

Taste:

Initially sweet and fruity (ripe grapes and raspberries), quickly followed by spicy, peppery heat.

Aftertaste:

Fruitiness continues in the long, spicy finish.

Overall:

Perhaps not as fruity as it is spicy, but this chipotle liqueur gives much more than just one-dimensional peppery heat. It is relatively low in sugar and alcohol, so despite the intense flavour, seems a tad thin on the palate.
