A mosaic topped island bar counter snakes around the middle of the floor breaking up this huge modern Mexican cantina. The look is industrial raw with bare concrete softened by stacks of flickering chunky church candles and the glow of Edition light bulbs.

You won't be surprised to learn that Tacos form the mainstay of the food menu with Mexican favourites such as guacamole and salsa. The drinks menu also features Mexican classics such as a range of margarita's, sangrita and a tasty Paloma.

The décor is appealing, the clientele attractive, the atmosphere warm and the food a good interpretation of Mexican cuisine. These are all reasons to come here. As for the drinks, well they are not half bad but Barrio this is hardly a 'must experience' cocktail destination.
