Like The Cow across the road, this is a seriously hip pub that was not so long ago just workaday.
Its greatest asset, apart from its corner location in a fashionable part of town, is its south facing terrace. Even on relatively cold days this area is quickly populated with young and hip Hillbillies here to see and be seen.
Inside is shabby but cool with a buzzy atmosphere. The walls are plastered with funky artwork and photographs. Built-in green leather banquettes line the walls, fronted by old wooden chairs and tables, and the ceiling is strung with fairy lights.
Blackboards offer a good selection of beers and wines while the tiny open kitchen produces some scrumptious snacks.
