Review

Sun Liquor owns two venues in Seattle: one a lounge and the other this bar/distillery.

A small copper pot and small column still can be seen through a glass wall in the bar, making this one of the few spots in the U.S. where one can drink spirits on the site where they're made. Up until 11pm you can also buy bottles direct from the distillery to take home - we recommend the Gun Club Gin. Surely that in its self makes this place worthy of a visit?

The décor is kitsch but grown-up with a world map mural covering one wall, booth seating and a welcoming copper topped bar counter reflecting the construction of stills outback.

There are some very tasty cocktails on offer such as the Chancellor
(blended Scotch, ruby port, dry vermouth, sun aromatic and orange bitters garnished with a brandied cherry) and the Meletti Western (rye, Cocchi Americano, Meletti Amero and angostura bitters garnished with an orange zest twist). As you'd expect in Seattle, the beer selection is also well above average.
