Cafe Viennese

Slightly inclined, the stunning floor of the Casa Fuster hotel twists a path to the hotel’s spectacular lobby café bar like Dorothy’s Yellow Brick Road. Unlike in the Wizard of Oz, however, this path is a modernist mosaic of polished black granite.
The Café Viennese is no less of a visual treat. Pink marble pillars rise from the black granite floor to a vaulted ceiling covered in gold leaf. The look is not dissimilar to a luxury crypt but warm lighting, wavy burgundy banquettes and Paul Smith-style stripy chairs keep the overall feel loungy.

This is a classic five star hotel and its café bar attracts the diverse upscale international crowd you’d expect of such an establishment. Expect old couples, gorgeous girls, businessmen and young lovers splashing out on a glamorous weekend away.

Sadly, the cocktails and drinks list don’t match the splendour of the décor but stick to Martinis, Gimlets, Negronis and the like and you’ll not be disappointed.
