Review and Tasting

Sampled on 22/08/2017

Appearance:

Clear (but so thick almost opaque), deep maroon red.

Aroma:

Intense fresh blackcurrant and blackcurrant jam with distinctive “green” freshly cut plant stem smell.

Taste:

Very thick mouthfeel but with high berry tartness cutting through and balancing sugary richness – perfectly balanced with intense blackberry flavour.

Aftertaste:

Long, tongue coating blackberry jam finish with continuing balancing acidity.

Overall:

A beautifully balanced, rich and intensely flavoured crème de cassis.
