Released on Sunday 12 August 2012 to celebrate the start of Scotland’s grouse season. Named after the proof strength of the original release in 1968, Glenfarclas 105 was originally bottled as an 8 year-old, moving to 10 year-old in 1989. This 20 year-old malt is limited to 4,000 bottles globally.

Appearance:

Clear, deep amber.

Aroma:

Pungent, apple and pear with blackberry and blackcurrant boiled sweets (hard candy), well-done toast, vanilla, spicy oak, toffee and biscuity malt. Red apple notes are amplified with water.

Taste:

Huge, dry, full-bodied palate with rich honey, praline, assertive spice, oak, sherry and dried fruit. Achieve the perfect balance with added water and reveal rich honeyed pear and Christmassy spice.

Aftertaste:

Long spiced oak, orchard fruit and lingering smokiness.

Overall:

A cask strength Highland sherry bomb with generous honeyed orchard fruit and Christmassy spice. Renowned for its value for money.
