Brewed with Belgian yeast, Tettnang Tettnanger and Saaz hops, Samuel Adams two-row pale malt blend and malted wheat. IBUs: 17, Calories per serve: 265
Sampled on 17/03/2015
Slightly hazy, coppery amber with retentive thick ivory white head.
Tropical fruit, freshly baked bread with pine, mild Christmassy spice and yeast.
Malty and bready with tropical fruit and overripe banana, piney hops, light black pepper and oak.
Long bready finish with overripe banana and black pepper spice. Overall: A good New World rendition of a Belgium triple with backs of fruit and a deceptively high alcohol content.
