Distinctive due to its variant yellow colour, Izarra Jaune is flavoured with 13 botanicals and produced in Bayonne in the French Basque Country. Izarra means 'star' in Basque.
IZARRA was founded in 1906 in Hendaye by pharmacist Joseph Grattau.

Clear, golden yellow.
Floral with aniseed, vanilla, coriander and delicate spice.
Herbal and delicately spicy with coriander and aniseed, rounded by honeyed sweetness. The palate has a floral soapiness - in an attractive way.
Clove-like spice fades to reveal buttery floral vanilla.
Considered by some as an alternative to Yellow Chartreuse, but Izarra Jaune has more of a floral-led aroma and with far less of the peppermint and aniseed freshness. However, Izarra Jaune is a great product, not just being a mere stand-in.
Verveine du Velay liqueur is made over an 18-month period according to an ancestral recipe. It blends local verbena with a savoury mix of plants and spices.
