Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
2 oz Hayman's London Dry Gin
1 oz Pineapple juice
14 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Martini glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of pineapple wedge.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Review:

The original recipe omits sugar but was probably made with sweetened pineapple juice.

Named after Florenz Ziegfeld, the Broadway Impresario, whose widow released the recipe for the 1946 Stork Club Bar Book.

Weak. I eschewed the sugar syrup and hoped Hayman's Old Tom would make up the difference, but nay. Kind of tasted like a bland hazy IPA. Not worthy of a marinade.
