Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Ketel One Vodka
34 oz Southern/Louisiana-style whisky liqueur (e.g. Southern Comfort)
1 oz Orange juice (freshly squeezed)
14 oz Monin Grenadine Syrup
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Martini glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Review:

None of the ingredients come from Alabama and the drink is served too long to slam. However, it's a good, rhythmic, rhyming name, if a little naff these days.

The amaretto version is called Alabama Slamma and is bandy-based. I'll add this version to Difford's Guide in the coming weeks.
