Jägermeister's Meister Hunter cocktail competition challenged UK bartenders to get creative at home while demonstrating flair and a sense of fun for their chance to win grand cash prizes. The selected finalists competed in the grand final on 18 June 2020.
This year's Meister Hunter adapted its competition and gave bartenders the opportunity to compete from home with cash prizes up for grabs, the largest being the prize fund of £3,000.
"This year we were faced with a challenge that we never could have anticipated, but it was important for us to move forward with the Meister Hunter competition and create a platform that would support the bartender community," says Florian Beuren, the Mast-Jaegermeister UK Brand Ambassador.
During the first stage of the competition, fifteen £100 cash 'spot' prizes were awarded to entrants who best impressed the Jägermeister team with fun and creative videos.
The ten bartenders, having best demonstrated creativity, flair and a sense of fun, were selected to compete in the final that took place on 18 June.

Finalists were asked to remake their entry cocktail, while also challenged to present a home delivery cocktail experience.
Each of the ten finalists received a set of boxes (one for each judge), as well as two glass bottles, packaging material and a bottle of Jägermeister, Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee and Jägermeister Manifest. Finalists showcased the inspiration and story behind their cocktail, presenting judges with an at-home cocktail experience. Plus, the bartenders were given a budget of £40 to use towards their final creation.
Judges scored against taste, box experience and each competitor's Zoom presentation and performance. The judging panel comprised Florian Beuren, Mast-Jaegermeister UK Brand Ambassador, Simon Webster, BarLifeUK, Marian Beke, The Gibson Bar, Ellie Reaside, the Meister Hunter 2019 champion, and our very own Simon Difford.
The prize
Three prizes were up for grabs for the top three bartenders in the competition:
1st place - £3,000
2nd place - £1,500
3rd place - £500
