Created in 1876 by Georges Hermann Mumm, whose name now represents the House. He augmented the bottle’s appearance with a red silk ribbon, a symbol of the Grand Cordon de la Légion d'Honneur, then the highest French military honour. His cuvée continues to be distinguished by its diagonal red flash.
Pinot Noir dominates Brut Cordon Rouge accounting for 45% of the blend with 25% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay.

Clear, pale golden yellow with faint jade hints and tiny persistent bubbles.
Zesty white grapefruit meringue with white peach, green apple skin and honeysuckle.
Fresh, biscuity and fruity (particularly green apple) with cleansing grapefruit acidity. Light honey sweetness amplifies the favours.
Green apple and cooking apple acidity but with lingering faint honeyed sweetness.
Green apple fruitiness and faint honeyed sweetness are balanced by grapefruit acidity and rounded by light biscuity notes.
