Babiĉka Vodka is distilled from corn and flavoured with an infusion of Artemisia Absinthium Wormwood, so contains small amounts of thujone. It is distilled six times and hydrated with water drawn from deep springs near the city of Prostejov.

Babiĉka wormwood vodka takes its name and inspiration from the 16th century 'babickas' of Czechia, a group of old peasant ladies who had a reputation for witchcraft. Legend (and the marketing spiel) has it that they gathered "wormwood and other herbs from the wilds of the Czech Lands to create charms and tonics to supplement their meagre income" (poor loves).

Babiĉka Vodka is the brainchild of Australian entrepreneurs Arran Russell and Alex Clarke.

Όψη:

(Reformulated 2010 sample) Transparent clear vodka.

Μύτη:

Herbal, spearmint, lemon zest nose.

Στόμα:

Minty, citrus with a subtle herbal flavours, most notably fennel. Very slightly sweet (added sugar suspected).

Επίγευση:

Reminiscent of pasteurised lemon juice with mint, cracked black pepper and fennel.
