Released in July 2017 as a limited edition, only 198 bottles of this 46 year old, cask strength, non chill-filtered, Islay single malt were produced.
Eich Bhana Lìr (meaning ‘the great waves of Lìr’) is named after the Gaelic god Lìr, “the powerful ruler of the sea who would use his great white waves to wash ashore his most precious gifts”. The bottle was handcrafted by Italian glass blowers and metal workers to depict the great white waves of lore.
