Launched in 2018, Meadows Gin is “inspired by the balance and diversity of plants and life in British meadows. It features lavender alongside juniper, traditional botanicals such as cassia bark, coriander seed and liquorice root, and a host of citrus fruits, peels and oils.”

Appearance:

(sample bottle First Edition, batch 121) Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Floral (rose and lavender) and zesty citrus (bergamot and pink grapefruit) with subdued juniper and red pepper corn.

Taste:

Citrus-led with zesty grapefruit and orange. Piney juniper is present but balanced rather than particularly predominant. As with the nose, floral notes are very evident with more subtle coriander seed. Enlivening peppery spice but not aggressively so.

Aftertaste:

Citrusy, lavender influenced finish with piney juniper, liquorice and moderate spice.

Overall:

Best described as being a citrusy gin with floral undertones. Juniper is suppressed by the assertive citrusy notes.
