The name of this rum is a reference to when Grenada’s Rum was shipped to His Majesty George III of England. Casks of the King’s rum were marked G.R.O.G., an abbreviation of Georgius Rex Old Grenada. This molasses based rum is a blend of 4-10 year old rums aged in American oak ex-whiskey casks.

Light golden in colour.
Very fruity nose with strong hints of apricot brandy and a touch of vanillin.
An equally fruity medium bodied palate (perhaps due to addition of fruit during blending?) with sweet apricot and almond notes.
The palate quickly turns bitter and the finish ends with hot crushed black pepper.
