Produced since 1923, Supercassis is Vedrenne's flagship liqueur. It is made using mostly the famous Noir de Bourgogne blackcurrant variety, which is the most aromatic in the world.
Local farmers send their blackcurrants directly to Vedrenne. To make Supercassis, a high concentration of berries is used in the maceration, which takes place in rotating stainless-steel vats away from the air and light. After pressing, the infusion is sweetened with powdered sugar with no additives.
To ensure a continued supply of quality blackcurrants, Vedrenne is partnered with three cooperatives, including one that the company has worked with for over 40 years.
